Okay this is embarrasing - a professional photographer who doesn't know how to rotate an image in blogger and is too lazy to do it right now. Anyway, these images were taken in August when Kendall visited Grandma Lin and Grandpa Al. It is so strange to see her taking swimming lessons at the pool I used to teach at. She really loved the Horse.

These pictures were taken in the studio at the beginning of February or May - the kids love to show off for me and make goofy faces. I just wish I could get them all dressed up and do nice photo's. You can't tell but Canyon is only in a t-shirt and underwear and under the apron Kendall is wearing her P.J.'s

It has been way too long

One of the biggest and hardest parts of this year was when we had to say goodbye to our loyal and loving dog Jenna. She left us in July and we have missed her since. Poor Kendall still has moments (as do Robbie and I) where she will get sad and cry a little, but mostly we are at the stage where it is fun to remember the good things about Jenna. "Jenna, you asked so little and gave so much, you are forever in our hearts"

Okay so it has been awhile since I posted, so here goes.
We are all doing well, we are trying to get some work done on the basement. We are putting in a bathroom and our bedroom will be downstairs. I am so excited for the final product but progress has been sooooo slow.
Canyon is walking now and has 2.5 teath. he is still taking 2 naps a day and can now sign a variety of words. Milk, all done, and a couple more that i didn't teach him but he thinks I should know. HEHEHE
Kendall has gotten so tall lately, she is getting tall but not heavier wich puts here even lower on the "curve". they are getting along pretty well, Kendall has been waking up lately and has just recently started sleeping through the night again - thank goodness!! Canyon is doing great on the sleeping also, he no longer needs to nurse at night, although sometimes he does once. He will wake up 1 or 2 times at night but most of the time goes right back to sleep.
Well the next post will include a lot of pictures so I hope everyone enjoys them.

Couple of things,

I forgot to post that Canyon is now signing Milk, this started around 5.5 months. It is hard to get a picture of this but I will keep trying.

Also Canyon is now able to pull himself to a standing position and take a wobbly couple of steps. Freaky, I am not ready for everything all at once but it keeps coming.

Well I hope all is well with everyone and I will continue to post as I find the "time" hehe.

Skating

Kendall got to go skating with Mommy and Canyon. (okay we didn't skate we walked) but Kendall loved it. Here are some pictures of Kendall skating and hanging with her new friend Samantha (we joined a mom's group and met lots of nice people).

They make tiny skates for toddlers and Kendall looked so cute in hers.

Canyon is crawling. He has been up on his hands and knees for quite some time now but finally put it all together on Friday, Jan. 25. We are very excited for him. He can now trail after Kendall in an attempt to keep up with his big sister.He is not satisfied with crawling, aparently he would be happier walking. He keeps trying to pull himself into a standing position. If we put him standing up (holding on) he stays there and loves it.

okay so a couple of things.
Canyon is now sitting up by himself, last night he didn't sleep very well. I went to go get him and he was sitting up (prior to this he had only gotten to a sitting position once) we would always put him in a sitting position before.
The other thing is he now wants to crawl. He woke up several time in the crawling position just rocking back and forth. He will be taking off much sooner than mom is ready.

Lets see - Kendall is getting her two year molars, Daddy got "fixed" hehe and is feeling a little low today. (he had surgery yesterday), and mommy is not sleeping due to her little monster (I mean extremely cute little boy).
I believe I have all recent photo's up now and will continue to post as I take photographs.

Kendall is the best big sister ever, she is always sharing with Canyon and very gental all the time. She will laugh for him when he cries and this gets him to stop crying most of the time.

Children's Museum

Kendall and Canyon received a family membership to the Portland Children's Museum from their Aunt Nickie and Uncle Chuck. This is our first trip there and Kendall had a ball. We didn't take any pictures of Canyon because I was carrying him around everywhere and taking pictures. Gramms and Grampa Bob (Robbie's parents) got the kids and us a pass to the Zoo and we haven't had a chance to use it yet but we are very excited.

Kendall had so much fun with the water, however as a word of advice to moms with children who are still potty training: Water+diaper=happier people
Kendall loves brushing her teeth at home and here we finally got her to brush the crocadile's teeth. She didn't want to at first but warmed up to the idea after daddy showed her the croc wouldn't eat her.

Okay here Kendall is showing way more flexibility than I have had in many many years, in fact it hurt just thinking about doing this.

Kendall decided to ride her bike. she was just starting to get the hand of peddling although she still prefers to push off with her feet most of the time because it is faster.

here is our Christmas experience. Canyon wasn't really interested, and Kendall opened two gifts before wanting to play and not open any more. Canyon had more fun inside the big santa bag than playing with the toy that came in it. Kendall got a butterfly fort from "Santa" that we all fit inside (for very short periods of time) and she now plays in it in our living room.

Just thought I would upload some more photographs. I hope you enjoy. Canyon really likes the exersaucer, we have to put blankets around him since he can't fully hold himself upright yet. He loves this position but can only sustain it for a short while without exhausting himself. Kendall decided to try on the duck costume I got for halloween next year.

Yeah that is right Kendall wanted her own post. She is well on her way to being completely potty trained. I got her her own "special" wipes to use and ever since she will climb right up to the big potty and do her thing!!!

Yup you guessed it! Canyon rolled over. November 16th. he rolled from his back to his front and then back to his back. It was so exciting. This morning he was rolling all over the place!

What a bunch of cute kids!!!
I loved photographing the kids while Daddy took them to the neighbors to show off their costumes and get "free candy" Kendall was very excited about that. Although she only got two pieces, she was happy as a clam. Actually it was the lure of the candy that allowed us to dress her up and then we had to bribe her with the second piece to get her out in the studio for pictures of her and canyon. Well I hope you all enjoy these pictures.

Post Surgery

Well the surgery went well, they were able to sew me back up and put me together, thank goodness I am not Humpty Dumpty. :)

Here are some of the pictures of me and the kids. I is very frustrating not being able to pick them up. I can't pick Kendall up at all and all I can really do with Canyon is nurse him or hold him for short periods of time. But hey not for long right.

Surgery

Hi everyone.
Well as of Oct. 30th I will no longer belong to the "never been cut open club". I have Hernia Surgery and although it seems a bit scary I am excited to get it fixed. I will be laying low for a couple of days and then I guess they don't want me lifting anything for four weeks. "haha we will see"

Okay, so amy made this look really easy, this isn't the first time I have attempted this but maybe this time it will take. Hope you all enjoy.
Canyon just had his 2mo. check up. It was a little late in fact tomorrow he will be 12 weeks old. but only 21/2 months. how funny.
He is 2' long (holy crap)
10 lbs 7 oz. so he has put on a good 3 lbs.
He did not like his shots at all, in fact he didn't let me put him down at all for three hours when we got home, and right now he is asleep on daddy. these are just a few pics from the last couple months, I will download more recent ones soon.

Okay so I don't know why but the newest pics show up on top and the older ones are at the bottom. Also I don't know how to rotate on the web yet so I will fix them later.
